Nowadays, with my hectic breastfeed/standup-breakfast/dressup-out-the-door mornings, there's more As It Happens in my life than Ottawa Morning. But my excitement still kept me up most of last night!
While I waited for my spot, I drew a woman in the studio who I thought might be Hallie Cotnam, but Google Image search contradicts me. The picture's not great -- I was REALLY nervous.

Below, a little drawing that happily distracted me on the way downtown.

I just listened, and what a great interview! Some really good questions and some really great answers! I've been looking at your drawings for a little while now, but am usually too shy to write anything. So, I thought I would take the opportunity to let you know I love your slices of people on the bus and I appreciate your need to work at your craft in whatever way you can. Every evening I look forward to checking out who you drew that day!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jennifer! It was pretty hyper-real, mainly because of how quickly it came together. They called me just the day before. I'm glad to hear you are following my blog, too. I joined yours because I like watching your paintings grow. I only discovered underpainting last year, so I appreciate seeing the stages!
